Security checkpoints at each individual terminal instead of just one at the main gate makes for short lines. Only had to wait 5 minutes to have my shoes, bags, and chest x-rayed! This is how airport security should be done.

Lets be honest, this is a high school for middle class students. If your daddy is surgeon or a lawyer, then you go to school next door.

Lets be honest. This is a school for snotty rich kids from River Oaks. Houston middle class students attend Lamar. Just as good, and free.

During the late nights this is a meeting place for the Montrose homosexual crowd. It makes you wonder what they put into their Boston Cream Pie. I prefer to go to the one off Westheimer in the Galleria instead.

  • Harris County Criminal Justice Center, adr705 wrote 17 years ago:
"sending more people to death row" - that's why they call it the Justice Center. No society is perfect and it is an awful thing when an injustice is done. That is why the death penalty exists - to deter any somewhat clear thinking people from committing capital crimes because nobody in their right mind wants to die but murderers don't care. Thank God we have people in law enforcement and judicial systems with mind and spine enough to deliver the sword of justice to the evil doers. Thank God. Otherwise the murderers would be gaining on US instead of the other way around. I know it's just my opinion. Society can't afford to feed and house and insure and educate every killer for the rest of his or her lives. Look in the bible at the book of Romans chapter 13 especially verse 4. He beareth not the sword in vain. What does a sword do? The government is there to protect us. And just because one or two people are wrongly convicted and even executed is no reason to throw away the whole concept. Following that logic, we would have to disband the entire penal system because there are people being wrongly accused and convicted on every level at least sometimes. But that doesn't mean we should give up. Murderers SHOULD be executed sometimes. Maybe not all the time but that doesn't mean we should totally wipe out capital punishment. Think about it and read Romans 13.

Despite popular belief, this place is not owned by Linux guru Richard Matthew Stallman. However, "rms" did stop by this place for a photo back in 1993. But, it was just a quick snapshot because he has a low opinion of Texas, and he was eager to get back to Civilization (i.e. Cambridge, Massachusetts). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS
